The students will learn how to write scientific summaries and from this then to write scientific reviews. Every student will use the knowledge he or she acquires to review original science work, and by the end of the semester be able to create a case report or a literature review. .

Aim of the course

The goal of the course is to learn how to write scientific papers, mainly original science papers and reviews.

Each meeting, the students will learn something from different science problematics (e.g. structure of a scientific paper, case study, statistics, animal ethics, proposal writing, grants, clinical study etc.)

On-line seminars on different scientific topics (statistics, grants, animal models, clinical trials etc.).

On-line semináře zaměřené na vědeckou problematiku (statistika, granty, animální modely, klinické studie apod.).

 

Course completion requirements

Active participation in the course. Turning in at least one review or case report paper, or 5 scientific summaries of other already published papers. The best ones are planned to be published in the student journal joint with the course.

 

Aktivní účast v kurzu. Odevzdání alespoň jednoho review, case report studie, či 5 vědeckých souhrnů. Nejlepší z těchto prací plánujeme publikovat v rámci studentského časopisu, který je spojen s tímto kurzem.
