The goal of the course is to introduce basic methods of unsupervised machine learning and their applications in
natural language processing. We will discuss methods like Bayesian inference, Expectation-Maximization, Cluster
analysis, methods using neural networks and other currently used methods. Selected applications will be
discussed in detail and implemented at the lab sessions.

Cílem přednášky je seznámit studenty se základními metodami neřízeného strojového učení (učení bez učitele) a
s jejich aplikací ve zpracování přirozeného jazyka. Mezi probírané metody bude patřit Bayesovská inference,
Expectation-Maximization, shluková analýza, metody využívající neuronové sítě a další aktuálně používané
metody. Cvičení je zaměřeno na konkrétní implementace těchto metod na vybraných úlohách.
Course completion requirements -
Last update: RNDr. David Mareček, Ph.D. (05.05.2022)
To get the credit, students are required to implement and deliver in time (usually three) programming assignments. Missing points can be obtained in the final test.

Pro udělení zápočtu je třeba naimplementovat a včas odevzdat (zpravidla tři) zadané úlohy. Chybějící body lze získat v závěrečném testu.
