First of all, students will learn important concepts and key representatives of ethical thinking in the form of seminar reading. Attention will be paid to those concepts that are either related to the Christian conception of the world (Plato, Aristotle, Stoics, Thomas) or directly opposed to it (Epikuros, Marx, Nietzsche). Second, the differences between non-cognitivist and cognitivist ethical concepts will be illuminated through reading.

Program četby: 1) Etika pomáhajících profesí, přístup pomáhajícího: spojení blízkosti a odstupu (Wunibald Müller).
2) Business ethics v éře globalizace (C. R. P. Boddy, R. Ladyshewsky, R., P. Galvin). 3) Problém „separace“
byznysu od morálky (Patricia H. Werhane, Edward Freeman). 4) Etika vědy a techniky: princip ohleduplnosti (Paul
W. De Vore). 5) Digitální etika – soudobé kontroverze (Amber Davisson, Paul Booth). 6) Svoboda slova a současná
etika vyjadřování (L. W. Sumner). 7) Co je rasismus? (Michele Moody-Adams). 8) Občanská neposlušnost (A. John
Simmons). 9) Etika válečného konfliktu – morální odpovědnost bojujících (Jeff McMahan). 10) Etika a ekologie:
otázka „práv“ přírodních druhů (Martin Gorke); 11) Naše soubytí s přírodou (Tändzin Gjamccho).
