Annotation: The aim of the course is to introduce the problems of text linguistics to the students, inform them about the circumstances of its origin and development of this discipline, provide them with the terminology which penetrates through other linguistic disciplines and becomes their organic part. Furthermore, the course deals with the relations of text linguistics and other linguistic disciplines, the definition of text and criteria of text structure. An integral part of the course is an analysis of texts, which are purposefully chosen with regard to the text linguistic point of view.

Cílem předmětu je zprostředkovat studentům základní poznatky z oblasti textové lingvistiky, seznámit je s předmětem a metodami zkoumání, naučit je chápat text v jeho komplexnosti a v propojenosti jeho jednotlivých složek a na tomto základě jim napomáhat při osvojování praktické dovednosti analyzovat jazykové projevy z textově lingvistického hlediska. Důraz je kladen na propojení tradiční lingvistiky, stylistiky, pragmalingvistiky a věd o komunikaci (parolové lingvistiky). Obsahem předmětu jsou následující témata: 1. Postavení textové lingvistiky ve spektru lingvistických disciplín a její význam pro jiné vědy lingvistické i nelingvistické. 2. Definice textu, kritéria textovosti. 3. Hloubkové a povrchové hladiny v textu. Koherence a koheze. 4. Téma a réma. 5. Makro- a mikrostrukruty textu. 5. Refence. 6. Textové funkce. 7. Klasifikace textu. V seminářích je prováděna analýza různých druhů textu z textově lingvistického hlediska.

For successful completion of the course it is necessary to attend seventy-five percent attendance, active work in seminars, continuous home preparation.
Introductory step towards completion of the course: group presentation of text analysis of selected text. Group work. Presentation in agreed terms.
3 possibilities to master the course:
1: Development of a presentation into a three-page essay. Individual work. Deadline: first week of the examination period. Form of submission: in printed and electronic form. 2: Text analysis of 5 pages. Deadline: first week of the examination period. Form of submission: in printed and electronic form. 3: Submitting of the essay and talking about the essay. Last possible date: January 2020.

K úspěšnému absolvování kurzu je nutná sedmdesáti pěti procentní docházka, aktivní práce v seminářích, průběžná domácí příprava.
Úvodní krok k zakončení kurzu: skupinová prezentace textové analýzy vybraného textu. Skupinová práce. Prezentace v domluvených termínech.
1. pokus: Rozpracování prezentace do třístránkového eseje. Individuální práce. Forma odevzdání: v tištěné a elektronické podobě.
2. pokus: Textová analýza v rozsahu 5 stran. Termín: první týden zkouškového období. Forma odevzdání: v tištěné a elektronické podobě.
3. pokus: Odevzdání práce a rozhovor o práci. Poslední možný termín: leden 2020.
