The course focuses on difficult areas of English grammar and helps students to improve their advanced English grammar skills. The grammatical items concerned are: definiteness and countability of nouns, modal verbs and modality, tenses, reported speech, passive structures, non-finite verb forms, adverbial clauses of time, reason, purpose, result, condition, consession, relative clauses, complex condensation. The course also includes various low-frequency structures which are commonly tested on English proficiency exams.
