Bronchogenic Carcinoma

Elective course recommended for 5th and 6th year

Course will be divided into two semesters of the academic year 2015/16

In the introduction, participants will be acquainted with the theoretical basis of this serious disease. Will be discussed issues of epidemiology, pathology, pathophysiology, clinical signs, diagnosis and differential diagnosis. According to the agreement with the teacher, students participate in a direct investigation of patients will be able to attend and participate bronchoscopy with cytological examination.

According to the interests the students will be able to be present during the ward rounds, participate in examination of the patients or be present on indication seminars.

Additionally, students will be familiar with the principles of treatment with chemotherapy, with operational and radiotherapeutic indications. Students will be able to participate directly during endobronchial therapeutic interventions such as stenting or laser.

At the end of each semester, students are given credit.
