The aim of the course is to master communication in some basic everyday situations at A1 SERR level. All language skills, i.e. speaking, listening, reading and writing, will be developed within individual topics on which the grammar is based. |

Conditions for fulfilling the course credit: - 50% - active participation in lessons - 50% - a written test focused on mastering the discussed conversational and grammar topics. Students are entitled to 2 re-takes, i.e. all together they have 3 attempts. To successfully pass the course, it is necessary to reach at least 65% marks in each section. |

During this course, students will be able to learn at a simple level the following: - to understand and communicate time data - to make an appointment - basic orientation and communication in a supermarket - to talk about student life and leisure activities - to talk about the weather - to write an email about spending one’s holiday - to talk about one’s career plans and wishes - to talk about the cultural offer - to understand internationalisms, time and local data - to give simple information about other people and one’s surroundings - talk about scheduled meetings and dates
In grammar, they will learn: - to use personal pronouns in the accusative case - modal verbs - to conjugate some irregular verbs in the present tense - the simple past tense of the verbs to be and to have - basic conjunctions - sentence structure in main clauses |

Enrolment is conditioned by the successful completion of the course of German Foundation Course I, which is a prerequisite course. Only in the case of free capacity, students can enrol in the course without having passed German Foundation Course I, but they must demonstrate adequate knowledge by passing a credit test before the start of the semester. Date will be arranged with the instructor. |
