Kurz zaměřený na nerodilé mluvčí angličtiny si klade za cíl rozvíjet dovednosti kritického čtení, diskuse a analýzy prostřednictvím četby vybraných děl anglických autorů v originálním znění a současně vytvořit intelektuálně podnětné prostředí, které podporuje aktivní účast a smysluplný dialog. Zapojení do diskusí s kolegy tak nejen zlepší plynulost angličtiny samotných studentů, ale také poskytne platformu pro výměnu myšlenek a objevování různých perspektiv.

Through guided instruction, students will learn how to navigate complex texts, identify key themes, and analyze the various literary devices employed by authors. Thanks to close reading exercises and participating in guided discussions, students will refine their ability to comprehend and interpret English literature with depth and nuance.

The aim of the seminar is to help students read literature in English and discuss it in English. In order to obtain the credit, regular attendance, oral presentation (10 minutes), participation in discussions and willingness to start reading or willingness to read in English are necessary.

Cílem kursu je pomoci studentům začít číst literární texty v angličtině a v angličtině o nich diskutovat. Pro získání zápočtu je závazná většinová účast na seminářích, prezentace vybraného tématu (10min), aktivní práce, diskuse, schopnost "rozečíst se" nebo již rovnou číst literární texty v angličtině.
