The course focuses on the description and practice of selected suprasegmental features of the English sound system,
particularly syllable structure, word stress, rhythm, reduction and intonation, which greatly contribute to better intelligibility of
fluent speech.

written part of the exam including both semesters; oral part consisting of portfolio presentation and reading aloud (a short passage + 2 tasks related to the text);
the written part (pass = 70%; 2 re-sits) is a prerequisite for the oral part

písemná část zkoušky zahrnuje látku z obou semestrů; ústní část zkoušky se skládá z prezentace výslovnosntího portfólia a hlasitého četní krátké pasáže, ke které se budou vztahovat dva praktické úkoly
úspěšné abslovování písemné části (70%, 2 opravné pokusy) je podmínkou pro vykonání části ústní
