Course for advanced undergraduate students (mostly 4th and 5th year interested students from the 3rd year are welcomed). The basic knowledge of cell biology and molecular biology is required. Important achievements published in high-ranked journals are discussed in the format of Journal Club. Special attention is paid to data interpretation in a broad context and critical evaluation of used methods. Each paper will be presented orally by a student and discussed together by the whole group. Discussion is a major part of the course and everybody is expected to participate actively. The language of the course will be English or Czech, depending on what will be agreed on at the beginning of the course. |

70% attendance is required, together with an oral presentation of an assigned paper and active participation in discussions. The course will be finished by an oral exam / discussion over cell biology problems. |
