The aim of the course is primarily to get acquainted with and acquire theoretical knowledge in the field of the basics of biochemistry: Key knowledge and skills: 1/ composition of living matter 2/ main nutrients - sugars, fats, proteins - their distribution and characteristics 3/ metabolic transformations of the main nutrients (glycolysis, beta-oxidation, Krebs cycle, cellular respiration...) 4/ proteosynthesis (principle, meaning, sequence, inclusion within the cell) 5/ nucleic acids (structure, function, meaning) 6/ polarization/depolarization of the plasma membrane, transmission of excitement, events on the neuromuscular plate and muscle contraction 7/ biologically active substances (vitamins, antioxidants, signaling molecules) |
