This course is based on the archaeological and Biblical records from various archaeological sites in Philistia, Juda and Israel. Different categories and types of altars will be presented. E.g. horned altars vs. non-horned altars; large offering altars vs. smaller incense altar; altars made of field stones vs. altars made od ashlar stones. The main archaeological finds came from the sites as: Beer-sheba, Arad, Moza, Dan, Megiddo, Gat and Ekron.
The course will be given on Moodle.
