This course provides elemenatary orientation in discipline of biblical archaeology. Emphasis is laid on definition of discipline and its relation towards other connected disciplines. Subsequently, individual working steps and procedures are presented together with examples from ancient localities chosen, including their complex interpretation.

Kurz nabízí základní orientaci v disciplíně biblické archeologie. Důraz je kladen na počáteční vymezení disciplíny vzhledem k dalším vědním oborům, následuje přehled jednotlivých pracovních kroků a dále pak ukázky z vybraných lokalit a jejich interpretace. Klíčovým tématem bude 7. století př. n. l. v Judském království se zvláštním zaměřením na krále Jóšijáše. Absolvovat kurz je dobré zejména pro ty, kdo zvažují účast na archeologickém výzkumu v lokalitách TEL MOCA nebo TEL AZEKA, na kterém se ETF UK podílí.
