The goal of the course is to illustrate problems connected to the interpretation of classic mathematical texts on the example of texts from the history of mathematics (by Euklides, al-Chwarizmí, Descartes, Leibniz, Bolzano). An emphasis is put on determining the difference in the precision criteria and in the standards of logical argumentation.

Cílem předmětu je na příkladu konkrétního textu z historie matematiky (Euklides, al-Chwarizmí, Descartes, Leibniz, Bolzano) ilustrovat problémy spojené s interpretací klasických matematických textů. Důraz se klade především na uvědomění si rozdílu v kriteriích přesnosti a v standardech logické argumentace.
