This intensive course is aimed especially at PhD and MA students who have been conducting research and would like to improve their academic English skills. The course will combine general advice with practical exercises and detailed discussion of your own work both within the group and through individual consultations. Thus every student signing up should have a working abstract of his or her PhD or MA thesis ready for discussion. The course is taught jointly by Prof. Jeff Rider (Wesleyan University, USA) and Lucie Doležalová (FHS UK).
