Annotation -
This course takes the students step by step through the main events and developments of the period between 1350 and 1620, also known as the Bohemian Reformation. It explains how its main personality, Jan Hus, became the leading figure and what were the consequences of his condemnation and violent death in 1415. Also the relation of the Bohemian Reformation and the Lutheran Reformation will be examined. For every class a source text will be provided to discuss certain expects of a particular period or development.
