Annotation

Brýle, zubní korunky, umělé klouby, srdce - a pak také mozek? Transhumanismus je směr přemýšlení o člověku v kontextu současného překotného rozvoje biotechnologií. Leccos už jsme schopni vylepšit - kam až dokážeme dojít? Transhumanismus vyhlíží nového člověka, který bude podstatně dokonalejší než ten současný. Otevírá tím základní otázky po podstatě lidského bytí a lidství: kdo vlastně jsme? Co je naším cílem? Dokážeme překročit svůj stín a vytvořit člověka 2.0? A hrajeme si tím na boha/y?

V případě distanční výuky bude výuka probíhat v rozvržených termínech prostřednictvím platformy Zoom. Připojit se lze zde:

Aim of the course

Po absolvování kurzu studenti budou schopni:

1) kriticky číst texty probírané v kurzu

2) chápat texty probírané v kurzu, analyzovat jejich strukturu, logickou soustavnost a historický význam v kontextu dalších souvisejících témat a myslitelů

3) vyjádřt své pochopení a analýzu ústně

4) vyjádřit své znalosti písemnou formou, která reflektuje přečtené texty, je logicky koherentní, jasně podaná, obsahuje přiměřené analýzy a vhledy do problému, argumentuje přesvědčivě.

Course completion requirements

Vyžaduje se, aby každý student

1) četl texty určené pro každou hodinu a aktivně se zapojoval do diskuze. Nepřipouští se více než dvě absence. Očekává se, že studenti se budou pravidelně účastnit všech vypsaných hodin. Studenti, kteří se nemohou zúčastnit některého ze setkání, se předem omluví (ústně, telefonicky, mailem). Za neomluvené absence může student dostat za úkol vypracovat dodatečnou práci. Předpokládá se, že student prostuduje a bude znát i podklady z hodin, z nichž se omluvil.

2) připravil alespoň jeden referát na zadaný text, tj. aby načrtl problematiku a strukturu textu, kriticky prezentoval hlavní argumenty a připravil alespoň 2 otázky pro následnou diskuzi.

3) napsal seminární práci na téma související s problémy či texty probíranými v kurzu, v rozsahu cca 10-15 stran A4 (řádkování 1,15, písmo Times 12b. či srovnatelné), s řádně provedenými poznámkami pod čarou či na konci textu, dle nějaké z obvyklých citačních norem (např. Chicago dle posledního vydání).

Každý pracuje sám za sebe. Každý může svobodně rozvíjet myšlenky druhých, reagovat na ně, kritizovat a analyzovat je, ale pokud tak činí, musí vždy uvést, s čí myšlenkou pracuje. Je nutné explicitně uvádět zdroje myšlenek, s nimiž student pracuje, a to nejen v případě tištěných textů, ale také v případě myšlenek kolegů a kolegyň či vyučujících. Budete-li mít jakékoli pochybnosti, jak správně odlišit vlastní práci od cizích myšlenek či jak správně citovat, obraťte se o radu na vyučujícího.
