The aim of the course is to acquaint participants with a major aspect or concept in theological ethics and stimulate their ability to work independently and critically with the sources and the literature. The specific theme chosen varies from year to year.

Proseminář seznámí studenty se základními tématy a hodnotami křesťanské etiky, jako je význam a autorita Písma pro morální uvažování, otázka ctností, láska či spravedlnost. Východiskem výkladu a diskuse bude první část druhého, upraveného vydání knihy Kingdom Ethics: Following Jesus in Contemporary Context od amerických teologů Davida P. Gusheeho a Glenna H. Stassena. Toto dílo slouží jako učebnice, která přístupným způsobem uvádí do základů křesťanské etiky. Není však pouze obecným popisem jednotlivých témat, ale odráží se v ní specifický přístup obou autorů k etické problematice. Poslední lekci semináře věnujeme konkrétní morální otázce dle výběru účastníků semináře.
