Course of lectures over one semester on literary aspects of the bible. In addition to outlining the history of literary analysis of biblical texts, it provides an introduction to issues surrounding the historical origin of the biblical traditions, their formation during history and the process of establishing a canon, and to questions of literary form and so-called special literary introduction (depending on individual writings). The course is offered once every two years, alternating with the course on the contemporary background to the Old Testament. Evaluation: test or colloquium.

Úvodní kurz věnovaný literárním aspektům Starého zákona. Zkoumá okolnosti vzniku Starého zákona, a to od
hypotetických ústně tradovaných i písemně zachycených celků až po kompozici těchto celků a vznik přesně
vymezeného kanonického tvaru Starého zákona, i skupiny, jejichž zájmy tyto celky vyjadřují. Zkoumá žánry, které
se ve Starém zákoně uplatňují, a to s ohledem na jejich sociální kontext, paralely v soudobých literaturách i jejich
funkci ve Starém zákoně. Uvádí do pravidel textové kritiky, nezbytné pro exegezi textu.
Předmět sleduje tuto strukturu:
★ Kategorie literární teorie
★ Dějiny historickokritického zkoumání Bible
★ Prameny dílčích celků a teorie jejich vzniku (Pentateuch, Hexateuch, Eneateuch)
★ Žánry Bible a jejich Sitz im Leben
★ Záměrná pluralita: aspekty redakce, kompozice a funkce kánonu
★ Literární úvod k jednotlivým skupinám biblických knih
★ Rukopisy, varianty: Základní pravidla a otázky textové kritiky Bible
