Annotation
The course is a follow-up to the courses "Diploma Specializations I and II". Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to continue with the realization of the diploma thesis, especially to gain deeper knowledge and skills in the field of methodology of scientific research and its application in practice. The student follows the instructions of the supervisor of the thesis, who is responsible for teaching the subject. The content of the course is based on the topic of the thesis and the requirements of the supervisor.

Aim of the course

Learning Outcomes:

The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge, skills and general competencies so that after the completion of the course the students:

  • demonstrate deeper knowledge and skills in terms of methodology of scientific research and its application in practice
  • demonstrate the ability to implement a diploma thesis project
  • demonstrate the ability of a teamwork in a scientific work
  • demonstrate the ability to critically evaluate the progress of the implemented steps of his thesis

Requirements to the exam

Credit Requirements according to the assignment of the thesis supervisor (usually in the following range):

  • conducting research / experiment / investigation
  • consultations with a methodology or statistician
  • continuous work on realization of the thesis according to the instructions of the thesis leader
  • presentation of continuous results within the subject of diploma specialization, submission of table or graphical processing of results

The granting of credit and its entry into SIS is the responsibility of the subject guarantor. The credit can be granted after submitting the above specified requirements in printed form, which are supplemented by a written statement of the thesis supervisor. The thesis supervisor confirms the fulfillment of the conditions for granting the credit by a specific date on the submitted material.
