Annotation

The aim is to introduce the basic chapters of orthopaedics and traumatology and to keep up to date with the latest innovations in these fields. Selected typical patients will also be demonstrated in relation to subsequent physiotherapy.

Aim of the course

Learning Outcomes:

The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge, skills and general competencies so that after the completion of the course the students:

• demonstrates knowledge of and is able to describe the aetiology, pathophysiology and clinical manifestations of orthopaedic and traumatological diseases
• is equipped with basic knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to orthopaedic and traumatological diseases
• demonstrates a basic understanding of imaging and laboratory methods used in orthopaedics and traumatology
• understands the principles of management in orthopaedic and traumatology departments
