The subject introduces the Greek and Latin languages especially with regard to medical nomenclature. Therefore, morphology is the fundament of the subject.

Aim of the course

Learning Outcomes:

The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge, skills and general competencies so that after the completion of the course the students:

  • understand basic grammar and syntax of Latin
  • are aware of the internal workings of Greek and Latin, as well as their application to actual texts
  • demonstrate the ability to use the basics of the Greek and Latin languages with regard to the medical nomenclature
