Annotation
The aim of the course is to introduce the basic principles, indications, and contraindications of special approaches, methods and concepts used in physiotherapy (eg the concept of Bobaths, a method according to Vojta, Roodová, Perfetti, Brunkowová and other currently used new procedures). In the practical part of the course, students acquire skills in performing selected therapeutic elements from individual approaches and techniques. Emphasis is also placed on working with literary sources in the sense of EBM.

Aim of the course

Learning Outcomes:

The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge, skills and general competencies so that after the completion of the course the students:

  • demonstrate knowledge of the principles, indications and contraindications of a wide range of special physiotherapeutic approaches used in the Czech Republic and abroad
  • demonstrate the ability to implement selected diagnostic and therapeutic elements of special physiotherapeutical concepts most commonly used in the Czech Republic
  • demonstrate the ability to evaluate evidence-based physiotherapy procedures and methods (evidence based physiotherapy)
