The aim of the course is to understand and be able to work further with the knowledge of biomechanical relationships of the musculoskeletal system and the influence of electrotherapeutic currents on the human body. - The student will define physical quantities and recognize quantities by the sign and units used. - The student is able to explain the basis of the action of electric currents on the body and is able to distinguish the effect of different currents on the body. - Is able to define the basic indications and contraindications for using electrotherapeutic currents for the organism. - Describes the main relationships of the movement segments concerning each other, understands the biomechanical principles of movement of individual joints and the relationships between movement segments. - The student will be able to describe the biomechanical specifics of each region of the musculoskeletal system. - Competences - The student is able to assess and compare the results of examinations and the effects of therapy on clients using various biophysical methods. - The student uses the acquired knowledge and skills to make decisions about preventing damage to the body by applying physical phenomena to clients. - Is able to identify indications and contraindications for using electrotherapeutic currents for physical therapy. - Is able to define the usefulness of movement about the biomechanical properties of movement. |
