Annotation -
The course is focused on reflected spatial creation and related contexts of contemporary art. The course focuses on students' ability to reflect on their authorial work in connection with the contexts of contemporary art, which intersect in other artistic disciplines (dance, music, theater) and the possibility of mutual intermediate overlaps. Emphasis is placed on the student's ability to orient himself naturally in the current operation of art institutions and to contextualize their own approaches with contemporary art. The course is divided into block teaching and is led by two teachers, practical and theoretical seminars alternate, thematically follow each other, interconnect. The course connects theoretical contexts and studio teaching. Their parallel concurrence creates an opportunity for the analysis of the means of expression of fine arts and intersections with other disciplines. In the practical part, students, through the procedures of their own artistic thinking, deepen the creative components of the personality, develop practical and theoretical knowledge in the field of spatial and object creation. Object and action creation is viewed from a theoretical and practical point of view. Spatial creation with emphasis on clear articulation of the concept, refinement of the feeling for the material, the possibility of creating your own project within the currently assigned topic. In the theoretical part, students will learn about the contexts of contemporary Czech and world art of the 20th and 21st centuries with an emphasis on intermedia overlaps developed throughout this period. The aim of the course is to gain a more comprehensive view of European and world art from the end of the 19th century to the present during studio teaching and theoretical lectures. The result will be the creation of one's own art project (spatial or intermediate) with a critically focused reflexive commentary, focusing on the contexts of one's own work. Use of acquired funds for the preparation of study materials of future art teachers.
