Annotation -
The essence of the course is continuous teaching practice for students studying to become physical education teachers at elementary schools and lower grades of multi-year grammar schools. The practice of physical education teaching students covers the specifics of the older school age category in the educational program of elementary schools. It is not only about observing and teaching physical education classes, but also participating in the normal operation of the school, i.e., the pedagogical and educational activities of a teacher, administration, etc. Students should master not only the preparation of physical education lessons in accordance with the requirements of the School Educational Program or the Framework Educational Program, using various didactic methods and styles according to the school's possibilities (facilities, equipment, tools), but above all their own teaching, including self-reflection. Emphasis is placed on dialogue and reflection, role and identity in the school environment, authority, and communication. Teaching practice at primary school is governed by the specific period of the school year.

Students:

  • will become familiar with the school curriculum and specific conditions for teaching physical education at a selected secondary school
  • will select and actively use reflective tools to monitor the teaching of physical education at secondary school
  • observe physical education lessons
  • prepare structured observation records
  • prepare physical education lessons in accordance with the school curriculum, the educational needs of pupils, and the specific educational reality of a particular primary school
  • independently teach physical education at a primary school, analyze their strengths and weaknesses
  • analyzes and compares the course of physical education
