Course unit the subject acquaints students with the basic concepts in liturgy and frequently used liturgical texts. It points to the appropriateness and inspiration of connecting the choir's concert programs with the liturgical year. It ensures the orientation of the choirmaster in the Catholic liturgy and introduces the criteria of suitable selection of compositions for her accompaniment.

Předmět seznamuje studenty se základními pojmy v liturgice a často zhudebňovanými liturgickými texty. Poukazuje na vhodnost a inspirativnost propojení koncertních programů sboru s liturgickým rokem. Zajišťuje orientaci sbormistra v katolické bohoslužbě a seznamuje s kritérii vhodného výběru skladeb pro její doprovod.
