The content of the course consists of theoretical foundations and a genre map of literature for children and youth (LPDM), which are approached from the perspective of the ontogenesis of reading using an anthropological aspect, which opens the way to literary texts primarily intended for children and also for older readers. Thus, the view of pedagogy and partly didactics of VCJ is taken into account. Film adaptations of selected works and work with new media are not left out either. The topics of the course are: the position of LPDM within the generally understood concept of literature, a comparison of literary studies on LPDM in the Czech Republic and in German-speaking countries; specificity and function of LPDM; LPDM genre spectrum with regard to intercultural aspects of reception: a) poetry for children - traditional works (Heinrich Hoffmann, Wilhelm Busch), authors of the 20th and 21st centuries (Christian Morgenstern, Ernst Jandl), poetry as a literary mirror of cultural customs and traditions; b) fairy tale - characteristics, stratification of the genre (Children's fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm), novelistic and other fairy tales (period of romanticism - e.g. the work of E. T. A. Hoffmann, Adalbert Chamois, Wilhelm Hauff); c) traditional adventure novel (Robinsonades, books with Indian themes, science fiction - Joachim Heinrich Campe, David Wyss, Karl May); d) development trends in prose for children since the beginning of the 20th century: stories grounded in reality: the work of Erich Kästner and/vs. the work of contemporary authors - e.g. the work of Andreas Steinhöfel), stories with fairytale and fantasy motifs, fantasy (e.g. the work of Otfried Preußler).

Obsah předmětu tvoří teoretické základy a žánrová mapa literatury pro děti a mládež (LPDM), k nimž je přistupováno z pohledu ontogeneze čtenářství s využitím antropologického aspektu, který otevírá cestu k literárním textům primárně určeným dětem a také starším čtenářům. Zohledněn je tak pohled pedagogiky a částečně didaktiky VCJ. Stranou nezůstává ani filmové zpracování vybraných děl a práce s novými médii. Témata předmětu jsou: postavení LPDM uvnitř všeobecně chápaného pojmu literatura, komparace literárněvědného nahlížení na LPDM v ČR a v německojazyčných zemích; specifičnost a funkce LPDM; žánrové spektrum LPDM se zřetelem k interkulturním aspektům recepce: a) poezie pro děti - tradiční díla (Heinrich Hoffmann, Wilhelm Busch), autoři 20. a 21. století (Christian Morgenstern, Ernst Jandl), poezie jako literární zrcadlo zvyků a tradic kultury; b) pohádka - charakteristiky, stratifikace žánru (Dětské pohádky bratří Grimmů), novelistické a další pohádky (období romantismu – např. tvorba E. T. A. Hoffmanna, Adalberta Chamisoa, Wilhelma Hauffa); c) tradiční dobrodružný román (robinsonády, knížky s indiánskou tematikou, vědecká fantastika - Joachim Heinrich Campe, David Wyss, Karl May); d) vývojové trendy v próze pro děti od začátku 20. století: příběhy zakotvené v realitě: tvorba Ericha Kästnera a/vs. tvorba současných autorů – např. tvorba Andrease Steinhöfela), příběhy s pohádkovými a fantazijními motivy, fantasy (např. tvorba Otfrieda Preußlera).

Aim of the course

Student:

- popíše základní rysy literatury pro děti a mládež (dále jen LPDM)

- rozpozná shody a rozdílnosti v různých terminologických vymezeních LPDM

- aplikuje své čtenářské zkušenosti z četby LPDM v českém jazyce, a to při četbě německojazyčné LPDM se zaměřením na žánrovou analýzu

- v analýzách literárního jazyka aplikuje dosavadní poznatky z literárněvědných a zčásti i lingvistických kurzů

- v tematických analýzách a reflexích recepce aplikuje také znalosti z oblasti vývojové psychologie

- propojuje oblast funkcí LPDM rovněž s oblastí výchovy 

- na základě informací z kurzu a vlastní četby vyhodnotí nabídnuté primární zdroje a vytvoří si vlastní korpus literárních textů, který může využít v následné učitelské praxi
