The course is focused mainly on international testing (PISA, TIMSS, PIRLS, ICILS, PIAAC) and its results. Methodology as well as the sample selection is discussed, but mainly the results and their message to educational systems are discussed. The focus of the course is also on researches aimed at students’ attitudes towards science, work of scientist, the image of scientist as well as factor influencing students‘ future study and career choice.

The students prepare a summary report about a chosen aspect of students' results in international or local testing. Synthesis of more researches results as well as deep data analyzis are required.
