Annotation -
The course provides students with information on the basics of anthropomotorics, teaches students the fundamentals of motor skill development, determination of laterality, and introduces students to the theory of measurement. The development of physical culture in the world and in the territory of the Czech state with special attention to the development of physical education in the 19th and 20th centuries, the Olympic movement and the history of school physical education.

Aim of the course -
To provide students with information about the basics of the theory of physical culture, anthropomotorics and psychology of physical education and sport. To teach students to understand the importance of physical activities for creating a lifestyle.

1. - 6.History of TK: Education and physical culture of pre- and ancient civilizations, feudalism, the Renaissance and early bourgeois society. Physical education systems of the 19th and 20th centuries. The emergence and development of modern sport and the Olympic movement. The emergence of school TV. Czech physical culture between 1840 and 1918 (gymnastic institutes, Sokol, development of sport and tourism, workers' TV, Eagle). Czechoslovak physical culture between 1918 and 1945. Development of Czechoslovak physical culture from 1945 to the present. Children's and youth organisations (Zálesáctví, Scouting, YMCA, tramp movement, student sports movement, Pionýr).
