Annotation -
The subject provides psychosocial and pedagogical characteristics of children with various degree of disability. It draws attention to specific needs of families taking care of a disabled child. It clarifies the issues of inclusion of pupils with special needs.

The subject aims to introduce the student to the foundations of special edication as a branch of science and to current trends in education of special needs pupils.
