The aim of the course is to develop students' language skills at the C1+ level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The course focuses on linguistic accuracy, fluency and complexity of one´s language expression, systematically expanding vocabulary, including collocations, idioms, phrasal verbs and abstract concepts. Students are encouraged to understand vocabulary as a system, and their knowledge in this area is expanded to include less frequent phenomena occurring in the texts under discussion. The credit 

1. active participation in seminars (80%)

2. continuous performance of the tasks assigned during the semester

3. credit test (two parts: grammar and vocabulary - a minimum of 70%; language skills (reading and listening) - a minimum of 70%; each part needs to be passed)

The two parts are assigned at the same time (date), however, each is evaluated independently. The student must pass each part with a minimum of 70% pass rate.
