The purpose of this subject is to introduce basic theoretical concepts and approaches to devise gender identities and diversities, the conceptual outline of contemporary feminism (humanistic, differential and poststructuralistc approaches), the practical application of gender approach in the interpretation of relational and communication problems in families. Gender is presented in historical context (gender and family structure in the examples of historical periods and from the view of contemporary family partnerships (restructuralization of traditional roles, social and economical context of changes.)
