The course serves to balance out the level of mathematical skills and knowledge of students by repeating the basic knowledge of secondary school mathematics with a focus on the concepts of higher mathematics (i.e., derivation, limits, differential calculus). Repetitive mathematical skills and knowledge have a close application relationship to related followed courses. The course is particularly important for students of chemistry with a focus on education who do not have mathematics as the second field of study.
