The mission of the course Software Applications for CG is to provide students in relation to the primary subject Computer Graphics the deepening of the knowledge and skills in the field of computer graphics, oriented to specific hardware and software, from the perspective emphasising technical, technological, practical and operational aspects of the problem. The course is oriented on the acquisition additional knowledge and abilities students develop skills for work with image data to a computer, including the choice and mastering of the equipment or programs for working with graphics and understanding their functional specifications and options. The course concentrates on deepening knowledge and skills of students in the fields of advanced 2D graphics and 3D graphics, particularly the techno-practical assumptions of advanced options and uses of selected raster and vector graphics editors, and of other specialized programs to adjust the parameters of graphic files, and graphical presentation of information, including prepress preparation.
