The course includes the practical work of students in educational institutions, in which they apply their theoretical knowledge in the field. These are, for example: 1st and 2nd level of primary school, secondary school, primary art school, music grammar school, leisure centers, etc. The HV department offers a stable network of faculty and cooperating schools (available on the website of the Center for Pedagogical Practice:https://pages.pedf.cuni.cz/spp/spoluprace-se-skolami-a-zarizenimi/). Students get acquainted with the practical part of the functioning of institutions, cooperate with their mentor at the place of operation. They are able (in agreement with the mentor) to implement their own learning outcomes. The internship includes student listening (6 hours) and student pedagogical assistance (6 hours). Part of the practice are consultations of the prepared pedagogical activities with the mentor and the implementation of specific teaching outcomes. The internship ends with the student's self-reflection. The aim of the internship is to develop the professional competencies of teacher students, especially in the field of observation, planning, implementation of teaching and subsequent reflection on teaching. The field practice mediates basic information in the field of current school legislation, connects the theory with the practice of all components of higher education and introduces the student to the conditions of a real school environment.
