The seminars aim to introduce some basic concepts of English phonetics and phonology on the suprasegmental level, including linking, syllable, word stress, rhythm, weak forms and intonation. The main focus of the seminars will be put on further development of transcription skills, especially transcription of phrases and sentences.

Tento kurz nadále rozvíjí výslovnostní a transkripční dovednosti studentů, přičemž pozornost se přesouvá z úrovně segmentů k suprasegmentálním jevům. Oblasti, kterým se výuka věnuje, zahrnují vázání, slovní a větný přízvuk, rytmus, slabé formy gramatických slov a intonaci.
