Annotation -
General history of cinematography. Cinematography as an esthetical and also social, economical and political phenomenon. Several types of film history ? history of film style, history of film perception, economical film history and history of technology. Different forms of cinematography, which differs in style, relationship with the viewer, forms of its presentation and production. Course includes film screenings.

Aim of the course -

Course introduces the main phases of the history of the moving image, but not only from the esthetic point of view. Industrial, political and social aspects of the film history will be also mentioned.
