Special education
The subject of the study acquaints the students with the foundation of special education. Special education is the
discipline of pedagogics, which discusses contemporary problems of education of the pupils with health handicap and with
new of integration, humanisation and democration trends of education children, adolescents and adults with different
specieses of handicaps.
Content:
1. Special education, the content of subject, the objectives, specialization, new trends. Special education methods.
The types of the health handicaps.
2. Special schools. The types of the special school institutions.
3. The integration of the pupils with health handicaps in the regular education.
4. What is and what isn´t the segregation?
5. The new legislation and the education of health handicapped peoples.
6. The pedagogical, psychological and social problems of the children, the youngs and the adults with mental
retardation. The classification of the mental retardation, its occurence and its causes.
7. The new forms of education of the pupils with the difficult and deep handicaps and the multihandicapped
peoples.
8. The care of the health handicapped children and the youngs in the institutes. The new trends in the institute care.
9. The alternative in the institute care.
10. Special pedagogical centres as the new form of care for the health handicapped pupils.
11. The education of the pupils with the conduct handicap. The centres of educational care for the children and the
youngs.
