The seminar follows the lecture 'History of German-Speaking Countries' and is to introduce the modern history of German-speaking countries and enable to better understand historic events of the era since World War II. Special emphasis is put on the relationship to Czech countries.

Cílem kurzu je seznámit studenty v návaznosti na přednášku Dějiny německy mluvících zemí s novějšími dějinami německy mluvících zemí a poskytnout jim širší vhled do dějinných souvislostí období po druhé světové válce do současnosti. Obsahem kurzu jsou témata zaměřená na významné historické události německy mluvících zemí, a to především v celoevropském měřítku. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována vztahům k českým zemím.

Ziel des Kurses ist es, anknüpfend an die Vorlesung "Geschichte der deutschsprachigen Länder", die Studenten mit der neuesten Geschichte Deutschlands, Österreichs, der Schweiz, Liechtensteins und Luxemburgs bekanntzumachen und ihnen so einen breiteren Einblick in geschichtliche Zusammenhänge, besonders in der Zeit nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg, zu verschaffen.
