The aim of the course is to introduce the problems of teaching literature within a foreign language subject. The students will be shown the importance of literature for creating social-cultural and intercultural skills. Teaching literature will be put into context with the system of literature (with both literary-historic and literary-theoretic aspects) and literary communication (taking place at/outside school). As far as the contents is concerned, the course may be divided into following topics: Literature lessons as a part of teaching foreign languages. Literary text as a subunit of the system of literature and as an independent unit of the social-cultural system. Activity-directed text analysis. Theory of literature and literary history in teaching foreign languages.

Cílem kurzu je uvést posluchače do problematiky vyučování literatuře v rámci předmětu cizí jazyk. Přiblížit studentům
význam literatury při vytváření sociálně-kulturních a interkulturních kompetencí. Vyučování literatuře promítnout do
literárně-vědného systému (z pohledu literárně-historického i literárně-teoretického) a do systému literární komunikace
(odehrávající se v prostředí školy i mimo ni). Obsahově lze kurz rozdělit do následujících problémových okruhů: Literární
výchova jako součást vyučování cizímu jazyku. Literární text jako subjednotka systému umělecké literatury a jako
samostatně fungující jednotka sociálně kulturního systému. Činnostně orientovaný charakter práce s textem. Teorie
literatury a literární dějepis ve vyučování cizímu jazyku.
