Obsah kurzu bude nejprve rekapitolovat základní endogenní a exogenní procesy na Zemi s důrazem na popis a vývoj jednotlivých orogenetických cyklů v historii naší planety. Následovat bude detailní chronologický popis nejdůležitějších horninových komplexů zastoupených na kontinentech, tj. Evropa, Asie, Afrika, Severní a Jižní Amerika, Australie a Antarktida.
