This course is a continuation of course K07. It focuses mainly on the syntactic phenomena within compound and complex sentence. The topics covered include classification of subordinate clauses, syntactic functions of non-finite verb forms, word order, and functional sentence perspective. Selected English texts are analysed and Czech counterparts to individual phrases found.

Tento kurz navazuje na kurz K07. Zaměřuje se především na syntaktické jevy v rámci souřadného a podřadného souvětí. K probíraným tématům patří klasifikace vedlejších vět, syntaktické funkce neurčitých slovesných tvarů, slovosled a aktuální členění větné. Analyzují se vybrané anglické texty a určují české protějšky jednotlivých konstrukcí.
