Úvod do teorie mikrodutin - optických mikrorezonátorů, ve kterých je síla interakce mezi materiálem a fotony silnější než procesy ztráty koherence. Optické mikrorezonátory, vlastní mody. Interakce s látkou, polaritony, druhé vantování, slabá a silná interakce. Stimulovaný rozptyl, parametrické procesy, spin, polaritonový laser, kondenzace.

Syllabus -

1. Propagation of classical electromagnetic radiation in a layered dielectric medium, Bragg reflection, Bragg mirrors.

2. Optical resonator with Bragg mirrors. Photon eigenmodes, the role of polarization, photon propagation.

3. Semiclassical interaction of radiation with a semiconductor: exciton, exciton-polariton. Polariton modes in a cavity - weak and strong interaction, lifetime, dephasing.

4. Polariton dynamics - polariton-phonon interaction, polariton-electron scattering, parametric processes, magic angle.

5. Thresholdless polariton laser, polariton condensation. Phase transitions - Bose-Einstein condensation, Kosterlitz-Thoules transition, superfluidity, properties of quantum fluid.
