Annotation -
The lecture will focus on bifurcations of "spatial patterns" in reaction-diffusion systems with interpretation in models of morphogenesis. Open problems of various complexity will be formulated.

Reaction-diffusion systems of activator-inhibitor type.

Destabilizing effect of diffusion, domains of stability and instability.

Bifurcation of stationary spatially non-homogeneous solutions (spatial patterns).

Application - pigmentation of mammalians, models of angiogenesis playing (between others) a role in the study of tumors.
