Literature -

For students who only need a refresher on secondary-school fundamentals they may have forgotten, no additional literature is necessary. However, the course necessarily assumes at least some prior knowledge. Therefore, for those who lack even the most basic foundations, suitable resources include their own high-school notes, standard secondary-school textbooks (typically Fyzika pro gymnázia – Mechanika, Mechanické kmitání a vlnění, published by Prometheus), or online textbooks (e.g. http://fyzika.jreichl.com).

Teaching methods -

The course is taught through theoretical explanations combined with the solution of illustrative problems. Emphasis is placed on practical demonstrations of the phenomena discussed, using demonstration experiments.
