Syllabus -

1. Linear algebra: systems of linear equations (Gaussian elimination), operations with matrices, determinants (Cramer's rule), linear independence of vectors, rank of a matrix.

2. Functions of one variable: properties and graphs of polynomials, rational, power, exponential and logarithmic functions, trigonometric and inverse trigonometric functions.

3. Differentiation: limit and continuity, derivative and its applications (curve sketching).

4. Functions of two variables: partial and total derivatives, their significance and applications (maximum and minimum problem, least squares technique).

5. Integration: the indefinite integral and integration techniques (substitution, integration by parts), the definite integral and its geometric applications.

6. Ordinary differential equations: variables separable and linear first order equations, modelling of simple biological, (bio)chemical and physical processes.
