The PhD seminar serves the PhD students to present and discuss the progress of their dissertation in the wider scientific circle. In the selected seminars also new knowledge in the field of didactics of science, education or psychology are presented by teachers from different universities. During the seminar, students also get information about which conferences are currently organized and prepared in the field of didactics of science education and get also the knowledge of where they can publish their scientific outputs.

Participation in seminars, presentation of the procedure for the dissertation and a evaluation of the work of the selected colleague (in a form of presentation). For each year of study it will always be specified how the presentation of the procedure for work and the “evaluation presentation” of the colleague´s work should look like. Doctoral seminars are logically linked to each other. They are implemented for students of all years simultaneously. Therefore, the results are repeated. The years of study when the outcome is to be achieved are indicated in brackets. The main learning outcomes that a doctoral seminar is expected to produce include: Clarification of the research question and objectives of the thesis: Students formulate a clear research question, or hypothesis, and objectives for their thesis.
