The optional lecture is focused on the use of remote sensing in the field of the environment in the broader context of natural sciences. The lecture includes chapters on development and historical context, data structures, basic methods for processing satellite images, aerial images and laser scanning data. Also included are circuits focused on the use of remote sensing methods in the estimation of air pollution in the urban environment. The presentation of individual approaches to data processing is based on methodological materials from Leica Geosystems, ENVI, Definiens, ESRI (Environmental Systems Research Institute) and specialist foreign literature. Basic knowledge of the English language is required to master the exercises. The lecture is also available in the MOODLE system.
