1. understand the concept of ecotoxicology based on the scheme:stressors (ie foreign chemicals or physical factors) affect organisms and cause harmful effects (biological systems are understood as stress receptors); 2. discuss and interpret general principles of ecotoxicology; 3. describe and explain effects on organisms living in the natural environment, in ecosystems (from bacteria, via plants and vertebrates, including humans); 4. understand the effects of stressors at different levels from biochemical to ecosystemic; 5. understand the specifics of ecotoxicology in individual components of the environment (water, soil) including the effects of this environment on the observed relationships; 6. use methodological procedures in ecotoxicology (ecotoxicological bioassays) to predict toxic effects of substances, design their sets according to the specific situation and evaluate obtained results; 7. comment on the ecotoxicology of individual groups of contaminants; 8. justify applications and uses knowledge of ecotoxicology in practice |
